Intro: This area formed during a tumultuous geologic period that included tectonic plate movements, continuous powerful earthquakes, and volcanic eruptions. Over the eons, mighty geological forces pushed up the Sierra Nevada and the Virginia Range, creating the rain shadow that has resulted in Nevada's desert environment. On this tour, the sounds and smells of the Nevada outback will surround you. Our expedition provides opportunities for dramatic contrasting photographs of mighty mountains, the city, and the high desert. Here is your unique chance to be Ansel Adams for a day. The Tour: The day begins with a complimentary pickup at any local hotel. This family expedition provides a unique chance to see the geological complexities and contrasts of the region through the lens of a camera.
The Cost: This tour is available for small to large groups. Pricing is structured by group size, length of activity and type of tour. Base price is $89 per person for our package. Packaged price includes planning, equipment, transportation, guide service, snacks and beverage. This expedition is available for combination with several of our other popular activities such as rafting, horseback rides, boating, soaring and hot air ballooning.
